Something instead of Anki? | ||

I'm looking for a programme like Anki, but with the possibility not only checking, but also writing and THEN checking if the word I just wrote is correct. And ideally if there would be a possibility to take into account various meanings, not just the one of them. Oh, and also writing in non-latin scripts enabled.

I wrote my vocabulary in anki and than I checked it and decided was it easy or not and I could write in Japanese and Swedish(å) without any problems.
I use the version on my pc not online. How about Anki? You can totally do all that in Anki. When editing the card layout, there's a drop-down box saying "Don't ask me to type in the answer". Change it to "Compare with field X" to make it let you write something that is then compared to the field you chose. Then you grade it yourself. 5 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Langenscheidt's Vokabeltrainer does that through and through. It's a great program.
There's different ways to learn. "Train" requires you to write in the Term and then grades you on a percentage. You can set how strict you want it to be (I have mine at 85%) so that the system accepts it as "correct". www.vokabeln.de You can switch the language to English (after setup). Most of the included content is German, but there is a site where people post databases in different languages. If you get one of the courses with the words, it comes with audio and sentences for context. The best thing is that if the program recognizes words you put in from an Anki deck, it will sense that it already has a related audio file. You can also copy any Anki deck into it with about 3 clicks. I got the English course and am doing it backwards with German. Give it a try.
