Most Gaelic learners borrow the voicing distinction into Gaelic, even the very good ones, so a learner accent is "clearer" to another learner, but it doesn't really help you learn the language.... |

I understand your objection, but in a situation where the alternative might be not being able to underatnd a genuine native speaker it might be a help to be able to understand [I}someone. However as I have stressed earlier I'm generally not liable to adopt speech patterns from anybody but native speakers so the stage where I might accept those 'comprehensible, but not quite genuine' speakers would be short.
