It seems I start all of my posts here by realizing how long it's been since I last posted. And this time I have not even replied to comments.
Sorry, mahasiswa, I really was thinking I had answered already.
Right now I am busy starting out as a self-employed guide, which is quite exiting and also has to do with languages (I think I talked about it before, I am repetitive, I am afraid). Right now it turns out that I am officially entitled to do tours in German, English and Swedish; Italian is in sight and I hope to add Hungarian ... one day.
Though my last challenge was preparing for a bilingual walking tour in German and English, having to say the same things in both languages. It is hard for me, as this is an exercise that I am not used to at all. Either one language or the other, but not both at the same time. But a good exercise probably. Helps to keep the brain in shape ;-)
Otherwise I am trying to keep up my languages, expand my vocabulary, doing the usual things I have always been doing. Progressing in Czech very, very slowly. There is so much else going on right now, but I am staying with it, trying to study as regularily as possible, keeping my impatience at bay and just working through Assimil step by step.
Well, something new: I have a webcam now, as I eventually thought it would be something neat to have. And I want to get more serious about having skype conversations in the future. Somehow I never ended up doing it so far. So in case anyone would like to practice any languages we have in common, my skype name is: astrid.st2
