Hello guys once again!
Now I'm facing a different problem ... nominal sentences have been my worst nightmare
ever since! Seriosuly, I always mess up , with all those 'hada', 'hadihi' , if i t should
be with -al or without ...
Do you know, perhaps, where I could find a nice explanation on this area of grammar?
Perhaps some grammar book, websites or even a piece of advice?
I'd be really greateful :)
Regards,
Wojtek

I'm just a beginner myself so I can't help. However if you join the TAC 2013 Middle
Eastern
team our team godmother might be able to help you as she's a native speaker.

I really like Wightwick and Gaafar's Essentials of Arabic Grammar, which has a very simple explanation:
هذا كتاب (This is a book)
هذا الكتاب (This book)
The first is a sentence, the second is not.
You need to add a pronoun, in this case هو, if you want to say the sentence "This is the book":
هذا هو الكتاب
Of course, the Arab grammarians have a word for this, too: جملة اسمية. Using this in Google allowed me to
find this Arabic language learning
blog which says the same thing, although in a different and somewhat difficult way, since the
three examples at the end of the article are not all sentences, only the last one is.
