I recently found out that a friend of mine went to Korea for a short vacation (school's
out); and I realized that this would be a great opportunity to get my hands on some books! Because I did not anticipate this, I haven't a single clue what books I should ask him to bring for me. Do any of you have any suggestions? I would prefer non-friction because I think the vocabulary would be more practical for daily use. Does anyone have any good reads to suggest? (I'm at the level where I can understand grasp newspaper articles with the help of a dictionary every few words. ~B2) 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

It really depends on what you're interested in. Several friends recommended 아프니까 청춘이다, a book about the trials and tribulations of being in one's twenties. It seems to be/have been quite popular in Korea this year.
I'm currently reading 나는 나를 파괴할 권리가 있다, which is a novel and a bit crass content-wise (about a person whose job is to help people commit suicide), but it's a fairly easy read and contains useful vocabulary.
