I got bored of the Transparent Language test after the first 5 questions. Romanisation is bad enough, but the romanisation system they use looks a bit non standard too. I could understand if the first few questions were romanised for near complete beginners, but I don't understand why anyone would go to the trouble of learning how to handle things like the "suffering" passive without first spending a couple of hours learning to read kana.

Who me? Yeah, I know, I kind of suck at Japanese. If I pass the N2, I'll upgrade myself here to Intermediate. Really, maybe I've been slacking a bit, only taking my JLPT class, and watching Japanese anime. I haven't been writing much lately outside of chat rooms. I try not to get discouraged, I think that's the main thing.
