Hello Shemtov, are you also going to make a thread for your other TAC target languages (or add them to this one) and join the middle-eastern team? Or is Turkish your top priority? Anyway, good luck for TAC 2013!

Persian:
Did unit 14 of Pimsleur Farsi Today nd watched 30 minutes of a Persian movie. I m currently researching programs to help me read Persian. I hve already found book tht I am using to learn the Arabic alphabet, so tht should be of help becuse of common letters. You could try easypersian.com for the alphabet, that's how I started learning it. The lessons are fairly solid, although I remember that his handwriting confused me a lot at the beginning. But if you push through all the alphabet lessons it'll gradually become clearer how it all works, especially if you have another source to double-check against.

The Willow Tree. I spent some time reviewing/learning the Persian Cardinal Numerals 1-999, followed by me learning how to make Ordinals.
