Through the instruction of mooby I was now finally able to create my very own log
i try to outline some of my goals and the stuff I will use.
I am a German native speaker, so most of my working material is polish-german.
at this time the only polish-english I use is the memrise basic polish course.
I learn polish beacuse my girlfriend is from poland and I love learning languages.
At first i was a bit hesitating to learn Polish because there are so many more languages out there I want learn and Polish is restricted more or less to Poland. But after some time I was convinced that it is worth it.
The culture is really rich and interesting. Polish appears really difficult and I have to admit it is different to the other languages I learned till now. But I like the structure and I love memorizing stuff(which is a pleasure with all the different noun endings)
I was on a christmas shopping raid on amazon and got a lot of stuff(to much but it language learning is like an addiction). I will introduce it as soon as I start to use it.
Right now I use:
-Selbstlernkurs Polish Lextra (which is the German "teach yourself" polish) (Beginning)
-Polish in 4 Week (Chapter 6)
I alternate between the two books, now I have some basics from (polish 4 weeks) which I will repeat in the other course.
-memrise basic polish a1/a2
-book2deutsch German-polish
-computer course assimil polish
i was over the holidays in poland with my girlfriend visiting her family
it is an amazing booster
that's it for now
wish me luck

Nice to see another Polish learner. Let us know how your German sources work for you. I speak German as well and thought a few times about looking into German/Polish resources; because I don't really need to learn about what a case is and what their purpose is anymore. Good luck!

Hi GLS,
Is everything ok? I hope you are making progress with Polish, however fast or slow.
Either way, best wishes
Mooby.
