I would like a site that tells me what's popular in the country of the language I'm studying, and how I can hear/see
those popular things.
For example, if someone was learning English you could point them to 4oD, the English TV station with interesting
shows that you can watch for free online. You can find out what artists are big in the music world so you can learn
through music.
Also who is good to follow on Facebook/ Twitter. People who speak that language and have similar interests to me.
If you Google Spanish you just get basic Spanish, like learn Spanish on Twitter.
If something like this already exists please let me know!

If you're talking about a general learning website, it would be amazing to have audiofiles available of every language known to man. That way if you wanted to hear native speakers conversing in Abkhaz or Aromanian, it would be immediately accessible, to allow you to get a flavor of the language before possibly studying it. There are still a lot of minor languages not available through podcast.
I would also like to see more humor. I was a lurker on this forum for 2 years and never thought about registering until I read some really hilarious posts and was inspired to try to inject some humor as well.
And finally I would like to read about the experiences of language learners who have actually lived or stayed in the TL country, what their impressions were, etc., using language as the touchstone to delve into other subjects if they wish to, and taking pains to avoid politics. Many of you on this forum are strong enough in the intellectual department to make it interesting reading.

Interestng post! When it come to such a site, I'd like to read about people's experience with languages. Not
only sollid facts, but realy stories, which are often very inspiring. When i read such accounts, I think, ok,
he/she did it, so why not me as well?:) Besides, I like reading about various methods of learning a language.
Also incorporating audiofiles, as was noted before in this post, would be a good idea.
I think that the success of such a site would depend on the community built around it, so it should be
innovative in some way.
Good luck!:)

A chat functionality, in order for learners to interact with others. That's essential IMHO.

I would love a site where some underrepresented languages could be found in podcasts.
Just a compilation list of uncommonly learned languages and links to where to hear them.
Additionally, a section for different dialects of the same language would be great, since
I've only found this feature for languages like French and Spanish.
