Does anybody know of any German forums for someone who is 17 where I could practice? I find forums really useful because they are closer to real day to day German.

What are you looking for? A forum for students of German to practice or a native German forum? Before anyone can really answer this, it might be worthwhile to know what you are interested in :)

A good way to google yourself is to type the German word for whatever you like and then "forum", then ".de". For example,
Musikforum.de Another example, I typed "Japanforum.de" and got this. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Or just use any search engine for "forum" and "topic of your choice in German" and set the preferred language to German
And maybe german-bash.org. Not a forum but stupid and funny chat quotes. (Even I don't get all of them, though. Youth culture ...) 1 person has voted this message useful |
