I was browsing Amazon today and I saw these courses for Italian,French and Spainish (Latin American as well). How effective is this course or is it a waste of money compared to any other like assimil or pimsleur?

I was looking for something to get me started with Spanish and saw his stuff. Does anyone have any experience using it? I'm intrigued to give it a try just to see if some of Buzan's memory techniques are really useful. I used some of his mind-mapping techniques with great success for a masters level course on rocket propulsion, so it ought to work with languages, right?
