I have the rosetta stone russian and it was great for learning the pronounciation and vocabulary, but when it came to nouns changing into different words I had no idea what to do. Also I am confused on what the pictures are trying to convey!

I thought that RS was going to be a complete learning expierence, but since all i know is Spanish, I had no idea about the noun cases. I roughly looked it up online. Is there a program that is all around the best for russian? And if not is there a good combination of software?

-Thanks

Get a book like Colloquial, Teach Yourself for Russian. I have the Colloquial book, but
not the Teach Yourself version. I plan to get the Teach Yourself. There is the Penguin
method (has no audio though), and also the Princeton Russian course. Though, someone will
have to upload it as the current links are all dead now.

Princeton Russian course - around 200 fun bitesize Russian dialogues with accompanying audio and parallel translations, not to mention comprehensive vocabulary lists, grammar explanations and exercises for each lesson, and all this completely free, courtesy of the author David Freedel.

The link is dead. I can't even get it to work.

Yeah, you're right, it looks like the link's down at the moment. What a shame, it's a really good course! Hopefully they'll have it up and running again soon, or better still, someone on the forum knows of an alternative download link.

Teach Yourself is good for explaining but really doesn't offer good enough audio or grammar practice, so you need to use it in conjunction with something else.
