Sorry if this topic has already been discussed but I couldn't find a thread related to it.
I'm considering buying a kindle or some other e-reader, but I'd like to use it mainly for reading in Czech. Does anybody know what the best e-reader would be for this? It seems that it's not possible to get many Czech language books on the kindle. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Hribecek, I have got pocketbook touch. It can read lot of formats without the need to convert the books.
It includes many dictionaries, unfortunately mostly English <> TL. This shouldn't be a disadvantage for you. It is possible to compile own dictionaries from stardict and similar sources - I have done it and it works very well. Another advantage is the text-to-speech capability for many of languages. And you get some books for free (or you can download them). These are often the same books you can find at Gutenberg, but it is nice to have an easy access. If you want to see, here you can look up what is available in TTS or ebooks. The shop www.palmknihy.cz offers branded readers with integration of their shop. I would go for the Touch instead - the touchscreen has advantages when looking up words in dictionary and when making notes, even if it means loosing the shop integration. 1 person has voted this message useful |
