Afternoon everyone.
I have been thinking for quite a while about a section where we can practice translation. In this section users will post a paragraph and translations can be done of the paragraph (nothing too long). Anyone can provide a translation as long as it is a full and serious translation of the posted paragraph. Other users will comment and provide advice. Also, we could had a voting system and have the best translation be displayed next to the posted paragraph (of course after all editing has been done from feedback from other users). With this method I think we could build a good database for people wanting to use translation as a learning method and also for people interested in translation. I would appreciate any thoughts on this idea. Thank you.

This is a good idea. Have you seen Iversen's log? It's sometimes somewhat similar.
Also, UniLang has such a section.
