This is all great stuff. It made my weekend (and Monday) :). Wish there were audio for the familiarisation courses. Am also looking for the Spanish FAST audio, which seems to be lacking on the FSI website.

I have the DLI Latin American Spanish Headstart tapes and books. I haven't seen them out there yet. I have most of the German Headstart moved to audio file (and cleaned up considerably), but haven't started working on the Spanish. If you want them, I could do one tape per night and put it up for you. The books can be digitized in an evening. The audio files take longer.

I've been boosting the volume when I pull the audio off the tape and cleaning out the tape hiss. The tapes date from the late '70s/early '80s, so they are beginning to have some oxidation issues. There are times that I have to "sharpen" the audio a bit to make the sound audible.

I'll start on this tonight and post a link by Saturday.

Correction, the Latin American Headstart is up on fsi-language-courses.com under the Spanish link. It sounds like the tape quality is decent.

I didn't realize that several of the Headstart programs were already up there. I'll concentrate on the ones that aren't on the site that I have. I have the Korean Headstart and the Saudi Arabian Arabic Headstart.

And I'll pass VagabondPilgrim the audio for the missing Spanish Headstart tape. I have it.

Some of the DLI audio in these courses is pretty awful. I'll try my hand at cleaning up some of it.

Hey. I was just wondering which Farsi course was the real one on here that included
audio and text? I tried to download the ones off of rapidshare, but they're not there
anymore.

Thanks liddytime. That's an awesome link. What about the text accompanying those
audios? When I tried to download the Persian(Farsi) course from rapidshare, those links
were no longer there
