I noticed in an article headline, which referred to the cartoon character Donald Duck
in
the picture, used the word "Donaldisierung". I've also noticed the word
"Mcdonaldisierung" in an article before, I'm guessing referring to the fast-food chain
or
someone's name.
Is this one of those cases of playing with the language? For example, in English if
you
knew someone named Jeff who was known to act a particular way toward people, someone
might say to their friend "Hey, stop Jeffing me!", or "That guy just Jeffed you!",
essentially turning Jeff into a verb that describes performing certain actions that
he's
know for.
Is this what they are doing here (turning it into some sort of a noun)?

Translate them as "Donaldisation" and "McDonaldsisation."Should be clear enough then?

Wow, that's so obvious and I'm pretty sure I already knew about that kind of noun modification but it escaped me at the time I made this thread. Long day...
Thanks!

As far as "McDonald's" is concerned, I would probably arbitrarily drop the final 's when forming this word: "McDonaldisation" (EN-us: McDonaldization).
