I primarily learn French, but I do dabble in a couple of other languages, and one of them is Chinese, I've hit a
wall with this language, as I feel I have learned enough to begin reading simple things, but I don't know how
to search for beginner reading material, websites in the language are a bit beyond me at the moment, but I'd
like simple short stories or something that are on the web, but as I said I have no idea how to search for them
without getting a hundred websites telling me how to learn Chinese. Can someone help me?

A forum I read a lot during my "what if I learnt Chinese instead of biochemistry" procrastination phase:
http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/forum/2-learning-ch inese/
these guys seem to know quite everything about the available chinese resources and media and are very friendly to newscomers. I think they might have made even a list of resources that might fit your needs. If not, ask around.
