Well, we talked for 3 hours... I'm not sure how many details I'll be able to remember in a month's time... but I'll try. One thing that was interesting is that we were polarized on a few issues or personal characteristics, but that the divisions were never between the same people. Maybe I should rectify my previous comment about us all being extroverts. I should say we
were all very passionate and spoke candidly and openly on the subject of language learning even in front of the camera; that wouldn't preclude any of us from being introverts. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

For the longest time, I was reluctant to post videos or create a Youtube channel, as many others here have done. After participating in a panel discussion destined to be broadcast on national primetime TV, there's not much point in holding back anymore.

This month, I decided to give Yabla German and Spanish a try. I'm surprised there aren't more people talking about Yabla on this forum because it's a really good system. It works on the iPad too, but without the slow down function. I see they've recently added Chinese, and I might give that a try too. The only problem is that I've been extremely busy lately (this week is nuts), so I have almost no free time at all, but I hope it will improve from next week on.
I did notice that Germans verbs with separable prepositions are not recognized as such in their dictionary, but it's not that hard to figure out. It's a pretty good indication though that if they ever get Japanese, the dictionary feature will be useless. 1 person has voted this message useful |
