I found this site. It has a lot of good downloadable pronunciations on it spoken by people not robots. http://hua.umf.maine.edu/php/search.php So don't need to do all tat copying and cutting in audacty so much anymore. I've been going through my anki deck and adding audio to my all my cards and eliminating as much pinyin as I can. So now my deck looks like this:
肥皂

肥皂(these are colored according to their tone)
soap
[sound:feizao.mp3]

Nice. I'm working on my Anki deck as well and adding audio is going to be the most
troublesome part. I'll be watching your progress as well. J

Thanks JT.

Earlier this week I finished the last pimsleur lesson. Which frees up 30 minutes of my time each morning. I'll be devoting this extre time to NPCR. The NPCR textbook starts off pretty simply. Still I learned some new words already in the first few chapters. 记者,外婆,There are 14 lessons in the first book, so I think I should be able to go through it in two weeks.

I've also subscribed to skritter for the ipad. Hopefully that will improve my writing.

I also tried an italki conversation this week. It went pretty well, but my internet connection is so slow. I really need to get it fixed. I'm thinking of adding 30 minutes native discussion each night. But I dont know the best way to go about it

I've been stuck in the doldrums. Its terrible. I can't seem to find the motivation to study mandarin these days. Ever
since I finished pimsleur it seems like I get less done. I think waking up and doing that immediately set my brain for
the rest of the day. Anyway, enough complaining. I've got to get down to work! Can't squander time any longer!

Hello fellow Team 鶴 member!

Sorry to hear you were in rut, hope things are better now - I certainly find motivation comes in peaks and troughs. If you're still in China, you'll still be getting plenty of practise at least? The video certainly seemed to show a very respectable level, even if it is scripted.

Best of luck for 2013!

I understand that. I was using Pimsleur for a long time during my 45 minute drive to
work, and was loving it. Then I hit a bump. I've since started working on my listening
skills during my drive. I've found podcasts to be somewhat entertaining, and fun to
listen to. Listening to a couple in the morning for you might motivate you? Just an
idea. Either way, keep up the great work. I just joined the team and watched your intro
video... you're further than I am. I can't wait to get to your level. Great job!

Just watched your video, very impressed! I hope you have rediscovered your motivation! I am also curious, do you
have your anki deck available to share? Looking forward to watching your progress this year
