I am searching for alternatives to the Berlitz Self-Teachers for French. Simply because I
may want to go through more than one and going through the same material multiple times
does get dull.

The Cortina Method is pretty similar. Berlitz Step by Step is much newer and similar enough.

Do you remember that handy google search on this forum form that I provided you with in your last post?
Using the term "Berlitz Self-Teacher", it comes up with the thread from 6 months ago: Books similar to Berlitz self teacher. Thread title is exactly the same except you used "akin" instead of "similar".
