I recently came across this nice site run by the "Académie de Versailles" (a French local education authority) - it has a good selection of audio resources recorded by native speakers in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese. The recordings are by "ordinary people" (i.e. not actors) and you get a wide variety of dialects as well (e.g. both British and American English in various dialects.)
The files are freely available to download. One nice feature is that they are classified according to the European Framework of Reference with regard to level of difficulty.
The site also invite people to submit their own material in the languages featured, so if any of you feel tempted, have a go!

Wow, the football-related recordings are amazing!
Also just saying that there IS a field for searching by a word, it's just hidden well :D It's under "quick search". I didn't notice and used google to search the site lol.
