Hi, I've got a friend who wants to learn English. He doesn't really know much at this point and needs to improve all
four skills, but in particular listening, speaking and reading. Do you know any podcasts, videocasts, easy texts
(ideally with audio) or other free resources on the internet? Ideally they should cater to a somewhat limited
attention span. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm not familiar at all with resources for English, and there are
so many websites and projects out there, it's simply overwhelming.

You've answered your own question - the amount of online material in English (even proper study material) is so huge that you almost can't go wrong. What is your friend's native language? German?
A google search for 'English lernen'

No, his native language is Thai. I know there are so many resources, but I wonder if some of you have
recommendations. I wish I had the time to listen and read through hundreds of podcasts and websites to find the
good ones, but unfortunately I don't have the time to do that. I've seen so many posts on resources for other
languages here, I just thought, why not ask the community in this case as well? But thanks for your
recommendation, I'll do a google search on เรียนภาษาอังกฤษ, maybe that brings up some useful stuff. However, I'd
prefer to find podcasts and websites entirely in English.

Does he understand enough English to learn from websites?
