For help on pinyin and pronunciation look at FSI's Pronunciation and Romanization section in the Resource module. Many Mandarin learners think it's one of the best available.

Today, I looked at the HSK list, a list of essential Chinese vocabulary.
I also started reading how to apply memorization techniques to large data sets. Finally, I watched a Chinese game show. I can identify certain connecting words like 因为，和，可是。 I will start memorizing dialogues to help me use Mandarin in context. Looking at a Chinese newspaper, I can't even recognize more than 10 characters per article, but a few days ago, I had zero comprehension. 1 person has voted this message useful |
