I just stumbled upon an effective technique for finding parallel texts. It is so obvious that I don't know why I haven't been using it already. Maybe everyone else already uses this technique.

In a search engine, set the search languages to both your native language and the target language.

For a topic of interest, put in a matching set of words or expressions in both languages.

Example: "xxx xx xxxx xxxx" "yy yyy yyyy yy"

or sets of matching words: xxx yyy aaaa bbbb jjjjj kkkkk qqqqq rrrrr

Voila! Lots of hits with parallel text on the subject of your choice.

Something like this: "en un lugar de la mancha" "in a village of la mancha"

I found this a few pages into the search. Not a bad idea, but you might need to know the translation of a phrase in the texts.
