I don't know about you, but the ready made decks for me are a fantastic source of
French vocabulary from which I have learnt hundreds of new words.

If you have the text in your computer you could use one of this 3 sites to parse your text in words or group of words then use a online translator - put the results in openoffice colomns and import it in Anki.

I am not sure those 2 do the parsing job but I am sure at least one do it.

create a new text - read it - click I KNOW ALL - View your words filtered on your text name - Export - then translate ...
