I tend to choose one language for each subgroup, group or family as a start, hoping to be able to get some passive knowledge of the others before actually actively studying them.
I tend to avoid low correlation between spelling and pronunciation, diglossia, lack of resources, lack of native speakers I'm friends with online, in this order. Then I do try to find out which one sounds "easier" at that family as well as the one that has the most interesting culture in my point of view. 1 person has voted this message useful |
