This is my first update in a long time. I've had a few interruptions, but given tha they are unavoidable I'm not unhappy with my progress. Even if I don't finish the challenges, I'll have improved much more than I would have otherwise.

KOREAN

Films: (Total 555 minutes)
Coffee Prince episode 1 (60 minutes)

Talk to Me in Korean Iyagi lessons while reading Korean script:
Lesson 1 x5
Lesson 2 x5
Lesson 3 x5
Lesson 4 x5
Lesson 5 x5
Lesson 6 x2
Lesson 7 x4
Lesson 8 x5
Lesson 9 x5
Lesson 10 x4
Lesson 11 x4
Lesson 12 x4
Lesson 13 x1

Books:
I'm continuing to slowly make my way through a bilingual newspaper reader. I'll count each page as a third of a page, because most of the articles at the beginning aren't more than a few lines. By the end they get to a couple of pages each.

FRENCH

Books:
Stupeur et tremblements by Amélie Nothomb (187 pages).
This is the second time I've read it, and I'm still not sure whether it's not just a exaggerated, racist tantrum. The French is easy though, so in that respect it was pleasant.

Films:
Le couperet (120 minutes)
I saw this film when it was in theatres about five years ago and had fond memories of it. Its comedy is much blacker than I expected, and it's occasionally depressing, but enjoyable overall.

That's what it says on the website of the challenge:
Quote:
Withdrawing : #giveup, [#language]
If you don't want to change the challenge but withdraw completely, use this.
Be Careful! because all associated data will be removed along with your entry in the participants table.
Example: "@langchallenge #swedish is too hard to pronounce. I #giveup."

Sure you can withdraw. This is a motivator, not the army :-)

No-no, I don't want to withdraw! This challenge has done wonders to my Spanish. I also registered for the Advanced Challenge in English, but then thought it wouldn't be fair in terms of ranking because I read more in English than in any other language.
