North Korea is definitely a trip and a half! Unforgettable experience! Even the mundane is
bizarrely fascinating there.

I'm going to travel for a few months in South America next year :) Can't wait for it..
Have so many other countries on my list, but I think I'll focus on South America first.

I want to travel to pretty much everywhere in the world. But I guess some of my top
choices would be India, Mongolia, Turkey, Thailand, Central/Eastern Europe, the Amazon
area countries, as well as Africa and the Arab world (nothing too specific in these
two, but I’m very much interested). Overall, Asia is the continent which holds the most
interest for me, but like I said, every country fascinates me. So much so, in fact,
that I sometimes wonder where I want to go first! I’ll be officially done with
university in May and part of my plan is to go to India since I've saved up a lot for
traveling. But sometimes I think about all the other places I want to see and they all
sound appealing in different ways, especially since I’ve never been outside the U.S. Do
I just want to have a great time, enjoy myself? Or do I want a more challenging
experience (India…)? Guess I’ll go for both :)
What language I study doesn’t have all that much to do with my travel plans. For
instance, if I was told I could never go to India, I wouldn’t completely stop studying
my TL. I’d learn as much of a country’s language as possible before going to it, but
traveling is usually not my main reason for studying a language.

France, Belgium, and Italy will definitely happen in 2013. I'd also like to add Czech
Republic, England, Scotland, Germany, and Luxembourg, but I probably won't make to all of
them in one trip.

In the short term, Italy is at the top of my list - I've had a taste and I want more! Closely followed by Spain. I'm hoping to spend some time in both of these places next year. Germany is also on the list, as I've heard so many good things about the country and the people. In the longer term, I'd love to see South America at some point, and try Eastern Europe. Also Japan.

I have always loved traveling. I lived so many years outside the U.S. that my passport looked like one big Rorschach Test.
Today I am reduced to wandering the International Food aisle of my local grocery store.
But hope springs eternal that I will be packing my bags again soon.
I would love to return to Denmark where my wife and I married. The people of Denmark are some of the nicest people in the world.
I would love to return to Germany. To Berlin where I lived before the Wall came down (I have not been back since). To Augsburg, the beautiful 2000 year old city where my daughter was born.
I would enjoy going back to Saudi Arabia. This time not in uniform and not in the middle of Summer. And this time I will take a chance and actually ask what I just ate. Unfortunately, right now I remember just enough Arabic to create an international incident. I will have to continue to brush up.
It is my dream to go to Israel. Visit the costal cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa and perhaps do some scuba diving. And of course explore the capital Jerusalem. I would love to live there for a time, if possible.
I am intrigued by China and would love to visit there. Australia, as well.
I have been to Mexico a number of times and loved it but will not go back again until it is something is done about the violence there.
Until I get to pack my bags once again, I will have to be content with reruns of "An Idiot Abroad" on the BBC.
