In my effort to learn new languages, I decided to write my own short children's book.
Had it illustrated by a friend and I had some other friends translate it into 7 different
languages. After editing it and producing the whole thing and reading it over and over
and over again I feel like I can read it in all 7 languages pretty well.
A children's book is a great way to pick up on the simple words and phrases of a
language.

I've had it as a goal for a while to write a short story or a novel or something in my
target language. A children's book sounds like a decent idea, actually. It keeps things
light and at least relatively short, and allows you to use simple words and simple
sentence constructions.
I should get to work on my story sometime.
