Yeah I live with two girls from Stavanger, down in the southiest south of Southern France! :)
Where, Saint-Joseph, Réunion? ;)

As a follow-up on my previous post in this thread, yes I have relocated to Moscow, although I still go back to Saint Petersburg almost every weekend.

Oh yes I'd love to! I have many friends from the Réunion. I even study with some guys from Nouvelle-Calédonie, which is - I think - even a bit more southern.
No I actually live in Montpellier, it was a joke, sort of haha. But it's still hot and comfy compared to the more upper countries :) They're just all so anxious because we had -1° during some hours this weekend (night!) and almost crying because of 10-15° in DECEMBER!

It is, but it isn't, strictly speaking, part of France. It's a dependent territory of France and its residents are French citizens, but it is administered separately with a high degree of legislative autonomy. Réunion is, as far as French law is concerned, just another département, and Saint-Joseph is France's (and, therefore, the EU's) southernmost point. /nitpicking

Thanks for the information, I didn't know it that exactly. I actually thought Nouvelle-Calédonie was just another département d'outre-mer.

Concerning the EU's southernmost point: Aren't there any isles under British administration or so that are even more remote?

I believe so, but the UK doesn't have an equivalent to départements d’outre-mer, so none of its overseas territories are administered as a part of the UK. The only UK dependent territory that is part of the EU is Gibraltar.
