How have people handled immersion in the past? Does it throw the whole challenge off, or
is there a standard for estimating how much time to record? |

Um just estimate the time you actually spend hearing/listening to the language and reading things in it and speaking it? When I was in Poland I reserved the tag immersion for the really vague things like (over)hearing conversations and reading the names of streets and all those random bits that you can't do on your own at home. But when I came to my hotel room and watched tv, i just counted that as TV. My stats are here... I got some 3260 mins of Polish in Poland and 2320 of them were immersion.

Um, just checking, but there is someone taking part in the 6WC on Twitter who seems to be logging activities that they completed in October...

Sadly, having to keep track of what I'm doing has become an even greater nuisance than before. So I'll forfeit the logging. =)

Talking about funny logging activities, I've noticed an even weirder one: someone managed to do 23 hours and 53 minutes yesterday, the 18th of November: she specified Nov 18 for 15 of those hours, but then went and added another 8 hours and 53 minutes, for good measure, logged roundabout midnight her time, in other words, also on Nov 18, giving here exactly 7 minutes to live a normal Sunday life. I suppose there isn't much else to do on Sundays in her nick of the woods.

It is perfectly within the rules to log previous days' progress all in one shot,
particularly if you have been without internet access. This, along with the time zone
difference, can result in tremendous amounts of hours being logged in one day.
However, it is clear that the 6 Week Challenge only started on Nov 1st and I shall ask
Jinx to remove any studying done before then.
