Hi,
some news from the front :)
I just finished DLI-Better-Russian
You'll find the pdf and epub versions on my website Yojik
I add the xhtml version (one big file) and an online version : DLI-Better-Russian
Like usual, if you find mistakes, errors, feel free to contact me.
So far, here is what is already done:
FSI-Russian
FSI-Russian-1973
Russian verbs of motion
DLI-Russian: Individual-weapons-training
DLI-Russian: DLI-Better-Russian
DLI Basic Course is on the way .....
I would be VERY happy to find someone to check my work ... I (and my wife, for checking) spent hundred of hours to do what is already done, for free, and a litle help would be appreciable ... : checking, reporting errors etc ...
I'll put all the sources of my work on my website this weekend.
PS: the FSI Russian has also an xhtml version and an online version here:
FSI-Russian

Hi again,
so, I got the work done:
(there are still many documents to work with ...)
FSI-Russian-1973
FSI-Russian
Russian-Verbs-of-motion
DLI-Better-Russian
DLI-Individual-weapons-training
Theses 5 documents are available in pdf, epub and xhtml forms and I add online versions:
http://FSI-Russian-1973.yojik.eu/
http://FSI-Russian.yojik.eu/
http://Verbs-of-motion.yojik.eu/
http://DLI-Better-Russian.yojik.eu/
http://DLI-Individual-weapons-training.yojik.eu/
I add also in the "DLI-FSI-downloads" menu, archives with:
* archives with xhtml files with images/sounds
* archives with xml (docbook 5) files with images/sounds
So, you will be enable to use theses files to make your own documents. I add a short notice how to build .doc files from theses files.
I'm now working on DLI-Glossary and DLI-Basic-course (but the later is so big that I work in the same time on small documents ... it's more grateful)
Hope this will be useful,
Eric
ps: one of the best way to work with de docbook 5 xml files is to use the free "xmlmind free edition editor". (it's not advertising!)

Hi,
just a short notice to announce the availability of the FSI Russian course in a new
pdf. I ocred the pages and transformed them to docbook format, and generated the pdf. I
have still some work to do on the docbook document and will put it asap.
The pdf is now here: Yojik website: look under the FSI
Russian menu.
Very soon will be there the audio, split into words/lessons/phrases with the
correspondant text part in French and English. There will be lists in Anki, Shtooka,
Yazik, plain text format and maybe others if anyone is interested. My wife will record
the missing Russian audio parts. I'll record the French part.
I want also to provide a French version of the course.
Do note that this version is a non stressed version; the stressed version will also be
there very soon.
Feel free to notice the mistakes, errors.
Enjoy.

I don't get why a new pdf is needed. The pdfs for the Russian FSI course are already
available on the FSI website. Why did you need to make another pdf?

I found it to be much more organized with the pdf's split into lessons. It also suits my divide and conquer approach better too. That may be just me though.
