About four years ago I ventured on my Spanish learning adventure and got quite far with it I believe. I could generally listen to radio and watch films in Spanish and get the gist of what was going on.
Having joined the military I let my language learning slip and didn't touch the language for the entire time. Whilst in the military I passed the MLAT with a 96% average which has given me motivation to crack on again.
Within the past two days I have smashed in units(not levels...obviously) 1 - 8 of platiquemos and have about an 85% - 90% recall on the drills. Seems that this kind of stuff comes back very easily with a little refresher!
I am aiming studying for 12 hours everyday to get up to a proficiency level of B2/C1. I aim to do this withing a three month period.
I'm using a total immersion method where I am:-

A. Hooking the laptop up to the TV via HDMI and have Spanish tv on in the background at all times.

B. I'm going to bed with the android tablet setup to playing Spanish radio.

C. I'm smashing in a level every two/three days on plati.

D. The computer is set up in Spanish to get the techy vocab up to scratch.

E. BYKI will be a key player on the weekend where I will be smashing in 500 words of vocab in a weekend.

F. The doors are locked and I'm totally segregating myself from soceity until this task is complete.

Any comments on whether anyone thinks this is feesable or not?

Good luck with your challenge. If I may suggest one thing, I would say change BYKI for
ANKI. The first ever thing I did when I started to learn Italian was to get hold of
BYKI. Not knowing anything else I thought it was great...to begin with. With hindsight,
a lot of the provided cards had errors and on the whole ANKI is a far superior program in
my opinion.

As for the feasibility of your proposal, I think that if you follow through on your plans
then it is most certainly possible.

I would be worried of burning out. I commend your dedication to the immersion. For your
android, check out TuneIn Radio, its free and has radio stations from around the world.
That way you can stay interested without having to listen to the same soccer game over
and over.

Good luck!

Already have that sorted. :-) Thats what I listen to on my android every night. I try to switch between Spanish speaking countries as well to give it a bit of variation.

I have now completed level one of platiquemos with few problems. All is going well so far. I've just cracked on with unit 10 and going into 11 now.

Can anyone suggest any good Spanish music that would keep my attention focused? I have Lecenzo blurting out at the moment but I can see myself getting bored with it soon and it doesn't help that he goes on random missions in Portugese as well! haha!
