Although I find myself to get English spellings right most of the
time, even the "obscure" ones, this also is a word I have problems with. Another one is occur. I can never remember
if there really is a second c in it or not.
I also have a problem with parallel because of some weird thinking that it's just not possible for this word to be
spelled the same way in English as it is in German. It IS, though.

I wonder if someone has done any surveys to see what's the percentage of anglophone population misspell "separate" as "seperate". I reckon it's probably more than 50%.
Only if all of them have some knowledge of french because french would never misspell "séparer" as " sépérer"

For some unknown reason I keep mispelling 'maintenance', even though I probably write the word at least twice a day.
