Another pronunciation question:

Pronunciation of "r" at the beginning of words:

Should it be anything like the German "r" at the beginning of words, or would that be
quite off?

I'm thinking it's maybe similar, if a bit softer.
But is it a reasonable approximation?
An "English" initial "r" sound just doesn't sound right at all.

I have a feeling that in the middle of words, e.g. "køre(r)", it wouldn't be much like
a German "r", and perhaps is a uniquely Danish sounding "r".

A different question; hopefully easier:

Am I correct in thinking that "k" after "s" at the beginning of words is always
hard, like an English "k"? e.g. in "skal".
(Unlike Norwegian or example, where ISTR it is like a "sh" or "sj" sound).
