First of all, thanks to all who took the time to respond, sorry it took me so long to reply!
hrhenry - I agree totally, which I why I was interested in the personal opinions or what each individual would prefer, as an abstract topic of discussion.
Iversen - Thanks for the detailed reply, loads of interesting ideas. What would you recommend for practise, if not silly games? For an example, I quite like a few gap fill exercises or similar when learning a new set of conjugations, as a bit of early practise, before using the tense, or mood, in normal writing.
Garrett85 - The main problem with mixing languages is any text is that of grammar. For example, if German requires the verb at the end, whilst English doesn't. You can get confused over adjective agreements. And then some languages just phrase things differently. Sorry, but I don't think it would quite work like that.

If you could design a course, what would it be? Specifically, what methods of teaching and practising would you implement?. |

Because I really liked the "constant drill" audio methods for speaking, like Pimsleur and FSI, I wished that I could have a tool that would let me select exactly what material I wanted to learn and then have it give me a custom audio drill

For learning verb conjugations, I designed specs for what would be (IMO, obviously) the ideal drilling machine. Learning Like Crazy liked the idea and I worked with them on the design, and here it is (see my video demo):

Edit: Swapped out the link from my Amazon video review to the same video on YouTube so I don't get accused of spamming.
