Has anyone used SecondLife or Skype as a tool to practice with others? I haven't seen too much written about it here.
Have any SL language groups been formed here? Does skype have any language groups?
I'm trying to see if there is some resources I can find concerning these two options.

Using Skype is quite common; usually you find a partner on one of the language exchange sites dedicated to the purpose (Conversation Exchange, etc.) then exchange Skype details and talk.
No idea about Second Life. I had forgotten that that site exists TBH, I haven't heard talk of it for years. But it definitely sounds like it could be useful for "virtual immersion": simulating being at a bar with a group of French people for example. I'll be curious to see what people say.
