Hello,
I started using Anki last week and it is a wonderful thing. I just found that words have a tendency to pile up, at least during first weeks. That lead me to a question what happens when I leave my computer for a weekend. I suppose new words will not be piling up, will they? But what about the words to revise? Will they pile up or will the words from missed days be skipped or moved forward somehow? Or will I come to the same point as if I haven't left at all?

New cards won't pile up since you haven't yet viewed them so don't worry about that but
your cards for review will pile up if you are not reviewing on the days you should be.
There is a suspend function however so if you are away from your computer for a while and
things pile up, just turn the new cards to zero and suspend however many cards you want
so you are left with a lower number of reviews then bring the suspended cards back in
again at another time.
I suggest you thoroughly read the manual
and make sure to check out the links at the bottom of that page. Anki can be used in
fairly complex ways.

Thanks a lot, that's exactly what I've needed. I'll take your advice and read the manual more carefully :-)
