There are different versions of Disney movies in French. One dubbed for France and one
dubbed for QF. Youtube has Disney music videos for Canadian French and European French.

Is there such a big difference that they need to release two versions?

This is probably done for legal reasons: movies sold in Québec need to be dubbed in Québec.

There are separate resources for European Spanish/Latin American Spanish,
European Portuguese/Brazilian Portuguese, British English/American English, and to a
lesser extent there's even material available for Swiss German as opposed to Standard
German and Felmish as opposed to Standard Dutch (Netherlands).

However, as far as I'm aware there are almost zero resources available for Quebec
French. Almost all French materials teach Standard French with a Parisian accent as if
its the only standard worth knowing and all the other varities are inferior and must be
stamped out.

In fact, even in Canada I understand that French is taugh using materials aimed at
Standard French.

Would you say the lack of resources for Quebec French is just another symptom of the
bullying, arrogant, snobby attitude that the French have to other dialects of French
that are not Parisian?

"Quebec french" is not a real language, it is a slang. French is different from other
languages, French does not have formal varieties, you only have France, Parisian
French, anything else is just wrong or bad French. Its like someone trying to say we
should make words like gonna and gotcha part of formal English, its quiet silly.

French is a language of which Parisian French and Québec French are two dialects.

If Québec French is a slang and not a real language according to whatever criteria you
use, than the same applies to American English.

Is June the official month to troll? I guess I didn't get the memo.

The last couple weeks we've gotten them coming pretty regularly, one by a new member
that joined a day ago...

Isn't the French used on CBC radio "correct" (meaning the same as Parisian) French. The
only difference would be CBC would use a Quebec accent?

My father who spoke Egyptian French was not pleased when he heard Quebecois speaking. He
said they added Indian words, conjugated English verbs like "smashez". But I would
imagine those added words would not be used in Business situations.

It is actually your written English that is slang.

This Hernanday guy is either a troll, or one of the most ignorant SOB's I've ever seen on
the internet. Just check out his comments about Mexicans in the other Québec thread. It's
just not possible to be that stupid. He's trolling.
