sorry, not enough room in the subject to broadcast the whole question... :/
What exactly is wrong with doing Two consecutive Pimsleur units in the same day?...
aside from the fact that one obviously reviews the previous lesson at the beginning,
which its simple to go back just for the review... If I have the time, should I learn
some extra material each day?

Wrong: that it distorts the optimal intervals of word repetitions. In theory.
That said, I can't imagine spending three months for a 90 lessons Pimsleur course. If one has time, one can learn 2-3 new lessons a day or more, plus possible reviews from the day before.

Of course, to make statements about optimal repetition intervals one has to accept that Paul Pimsleur's
1960s research is correct (which is open to question) and that the S&S product uses the Pimsleur intervals
(which it doesn't).
That is not to knock Pimsleur or it's spaced repetition - for German I found it very helpful, its just I wouldn't put
too much emphasis on the 'science' behind it.

If I'd do Pimsleur again, I'd stick to the same rhythm again. Can always do something else in the meantime.. like Michel Thomas or some grammar or whatever. However, Pimsleur is designed to burn info into your head facilitating a spaced repetition system.

If you're able to get 80%+, do as many as you want. If you are getting less than 80%, then you're supposed to repeat
the lesson. If you get less than 80%, and you don't repeat, you might as well throw all those pesky rules out the
window. In that case, you probably won't get good results from the program.

Doing lessons back-to-back seems a bit much - part of the program is based upon being
able to recall a lesson the next day. Doing the lesson right away defeats that purpose.
However I've tried doing two or three lessons throughout the day (one in the morning and
one at night) and the 'system' seemed to still work.

When I first started Italian, I wasn't working so I was able to do several Pimsleur
lessons, sometimes four or five per day, and it worked very well for me. After four or
five was the point where I started to feel mentally tired and struggle to remember
things, which suggested that it was time to stop and I had done enough for one day.
Then I tried Pimsleur Russian. After one lesson I was mentally tired and struggling, so
that was plenty for one day.
I guess for Italian, since it's an easier language and I already knew a lot of French,
which has similar grammar and vocabulary, I was learning a lot less truly new material so
I could do a lot more per day.

thank you for the input every one, I suppose Ill experiment a little bit and try two a
day for a few days, BUT, I will make sure I review all the material taught on the
previous day, If it dosnt seem to be working out, I suppose I can fill extra time with
reading and working on kanji...
