For anyone that has used FIA, or even better, completed it, I have a few questions.

1) Did you use the transcripts?
2) Did your listening comprehension go up?
3) How many times did you go through the series?
4) Did you use the workbooks?
If so, were they beneficial? If not, were the videos still worth it on their own?
5) What level would you say it got you to, or what level did it get you to with other courses?

6) How much time did you spend on each unit?
7) If you have done FSI Spanish, do you feel FIA takes you to a more advanced level?

1) Did you use the transcripts?

No but I did use the coursebook and the audio (which is a slightly truncated version of
the dramatic part of the video) in an assimil/linguaphone like manner.

2) Did your listening comprehension go up?

Yes

3) How many times did you go through the series?

Once (see below) and I intend to do it again

4) Did you use the workbooks?

Yes
If so, were they beneficial? If not, were the videos still worth it on their own?

Yes and Yes

5) What level would you say it got you to, or what level did it get you to with other
courses?

Can't say - CEFR A2-B1?

6) How much time did you spend on each unit?

A week - Watch the video, go through the coursebook and audio of the course book a few
times, do the oral exercises on the tapes/from the coursebook, watch the video again
then do the workbook exercises - then read the reading material at the back of the
Coursebook - it takes me, working about an hour a day, 5 days to do this.

7) If you have done FSI Spanish, do you feel FIA takes you to a more advanced level?

Can't comment.
