I just started with Spanish last week and I would like to start building up my vocabulary quickly with 100+ words per day. I found quite a few websites with pictures and audio (when I mouse over the picture the audio plays), which I generally find to be helpful. These have all been in Castillian Spanish, however, and I am looking for this type of resource in Latin American Spanish (more specifically Dominican Spanish, as I am opening a company office there). Mexican or Central American Spanish would be fine as well, but there are just too many differences between Spain and LA. I would appreciate any tips. Thank you.

I don't have any specific resources for you, but just wanted to point out that Castillian and Latin American Spanish
are mutually intelligible :) so special resources aren't really necessary. Most basic vocabulary is the same, with
some exceptions (for example I was taught that juice was jugo in Latin America and zumo in Spain...) and the same
should be true of business vocabulary (which is probably important for you to develop if you plan on opening a
company office in Latin America. There are books specifically geared towards Spanish in the workplace. However,
these would probably require for you to have somewhat more experience with the language to be very helpful.
I think I remember reading about a series of language learning programs developed by the US government, which
would most likely teach Latin American Spanish. I could be mistaken about this and don't remember what it was
called, however...
Good luck with your studies!

@ajackso3 maybe you're talking about FSI? In regards to the original topic, you should give the program Anki a try,
just search "spanish" and pick out a deck you like, I do 50 cards a day it seems to be useful.
