My New Year's resolution was to speak to a native French speaker. I accomplished this on the first and I'm not sure where to go from here.

I was hoping to get some ideas from this thread, but it doesn't look like that will happen. lol

I find goals (where I'm going) are not sufficient, I've learned that it is necessary to identify a plan and break down into reasonable chunks (how). Also needed are material (with what I'm going to get there) and weaknesses (what I need to resolve).
I've noted that most people are better on small actions (the daily tasks) then long range planning so I try to focus on that.

Also very important are fun (while doing), achievements (milestones:I got here) and celebrations (I GOT HERE!).

Sometimes all of this is evident and does not even need mentioning, the more complex a project the more structure it needs. Or if you want to be "efficient". But efficiency is a whole other discussion.

With some languages for me it has been all play and it's been good. With others, without a plan I'd be struggling.
