Out of curiosity, did they deduct VAT from the listed price of the product (since you're outside the EU), or did they charge the full amount anyway?

My apologies for not replying sooner, I just finished up my last paper of university
today. What a nice feeling, haha.
Anyway, they did not deduct VAT. According to this site:

I think that's for importing from outside the EU to Ireland. You're importing from France/EU to the United States, so
I don't think those rules are relevant.

I guess that is what I get for trying to be helpful in a hurry and googling without
