I've finished all of Pimsleur Portuguese II!! And I'm already 2 lessons into Pimsleur Portuguese III -- quickly approaching the end now. I've also finished Unit 5 of FSI Portguese, so per my plan, I'm reviewing all the vocab (putting it into Anki) and studying all the grammar once more before the review unit 6. Speaking of Anki, I've covered 660 words as of now.
Eu gostaria de acabar o Pimsleur Portuguese antes do fim do verão. Infelizmente, eu acho que eu não vou poder acabar FSI antes do outono.

Thanks, WingSuet!
NickJS -- Thanks too! FSI has been really helpful for me. As I mentioned earlier in
this log, I kind of didn't realize that there were multiple versions of the Portuguese
FSI program before I started...so in hindsight I probably would have preferred one with
audio tapes (haven't been able to get them for the one I'm using). But all in all it's
been helpful for increased grammar, vocab, etc. that Pimsleur doesn't provide, and then
I've gotten the spoken conversational practice that I'm missing in FSI via Pimsleur.
After the 18 FSI units I have in this program, however, I'm planning to switch over to
DLI, so we'll see how that goes.
-------------------------
Studies update: Worked through Pimsleur Portuguese III lesson 4 now. I've also
reviewed all the FSI vocab covered so far (though I'm going to go over it again this
weekend just to make sure I have absorbed it all). Then I'll be off to cover the review
unit 6 in FSI. I've been doing a little less on Portuguese in the past few days because
I've been working on how to start with conversational Latin (I cover this on a
different log).

Hello again!
Since my last post, I have continued with Pimsleur and have just now completed
lesson 12 of level III. I've also continued work on FSI. I finished the review
unit 5, so I studied all of the vocab again from previous units. Over the past few days I
also completed unit 6 and am partly through unit 7. I'm still really enjoying both
programs and I think they compliment each other well. This is the last month of my
summer, so I'm trying to pack in as much as I can since I won't be able to study as much
come fall.

Keep at it mate! Sadly I start work in just over a week myself - but with work comes
more learning materials (and camera gear) haha.
