Suppose I am writing a letter to another company, proposing for a meeting between our president Mr. Xu and their president Mr. Yao. And our company name is AAA.
There are two ways of writing this letter:
1) Company to Person
Dear Mr. Yao,
To enhance our cooperation, Mr. Xu, on behave of AAA, will meet you on Friday for further discussion.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely
AAA
2) Person to Person
Dear Mr. Yao,
To enhance our cooperation, I, on behave of AAA, will meet you on Friday for further discussion.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely
Xu
President of AAA
My question is, 2) is quite a common way of composing such letter. But what about 1)? Is it also an acceptable way?

1) Would never be used. The letter would always be from a person on behalf of the company.

Seconding genini1. Also, not to be nit-picky, but it's not "on behave" - it's "on
behalf". I hope it's not too rude to mention. :)
