There are some changes you can do if you click the stop watch ("Study options") and a couple of others under Settings->Deck properties->Advanced.

For me, the most "piled up" deck is my Mandarin, which today had +250 cards for review.

What do you mean with feeling bored, the cards are too easy? You get to a point where
you know them well? It sounds like you're doing dozens of reps over easy words. Perhaps
you should use another program with longer intervals, or somehow tweaks Anki to do so.

Somehow? It's not like there's a lot of variables at work here. It basically depends on
how many new cards you add every day and how many cards you fail. Were you adding more
than those 20 words in Supermemo?
