Google word translator not working | ||

I can't get Google word translator to work. I hover the pointer over a word and nothing happens. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

I doesn't work on my machine either. I guess you'll have to wait until they fix this in the next version of the Google Toolbar. If you use Firefox, I can highly recommend the free Globefish add-on. It displays the translation for any number of highlighted words when you press F8.
It also has a customizable "Compare how often phrases appear on the web" feature that is very useful, if want to find out which of two possible translations is more frequent. 5 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Make sure you're logged in to your Google account. Logging out of Gmail usually causes GT to stop working for me, even if I had logged into a Google account separately. Edited by carlonove on 11 October 2010 at 3:42pm 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Agreed with Tommus. Also, with my internet connection at least, it's a lot faster than GT's program (nearly instantaneous). I wish they'd develop a similar program that we could use in programs outside of a web browser (Word, Adobe, etc).

A quick look with Google gave quite a few hits. Here is one that might work for you. http://translateclient.com/ EDIT: Just a caution, I just now tried to find a review of this software and couldn't find a reasonable one.
