Hello

I have a very simple method to learn words for beginners. Put on a post on every single item that surrounds with the meaning behind like a flashcard. Like for example in the kitchen or in your room or bathroom even. Then you can add the idioms you are learning. On your door, you might write "salir de casa" so you will see whenever you leave your house. Try it you! The power of association is amazing! It works and it's fun :-)

This works nicely for nouns, naming objects that are in your home. The really hard
words to remember, though, are rarely nouns, since we can usually form mental images of
them easily. The words I always have trouble remembering, in increasing order of
frustration: verbs, adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions, adverbs.

When I'm learning verbs, I "play" them. For adjectives I visualize someone I know with that quality. It really helps and makes your vocabulary learning more successful and it is a big fun.

This is one of the techniques often used: for example take "I have an apple."

There are so many ways to play with a sentence

I have an apple
You have an apple
He has three apples
I gave the apple to him/her
I gave the apple to him and he gave me a banana (don't know why this one came to mind)
I have an apple but I dont like apples so I will give this to Andrei when I see him.
If Andrei doesn't want the apple I will ask Rochelle if she would like it.

[I am now very worried about the way my mind works!]

My base technique when I pick up a language is to learn a language in chunks ... swapping bits of idea with other bits.... its worked so far!
