Un autre extrait, celui-ci assez court, pour la traduction:
VLADIMIR: And you are Pozzo?
POZZO: Certainly I am Pozzo.
VLADIMIR: The same as yesterday?
POZZO: Yesterday?
VLADIMIR: We met yesterday. (Silence.) Do you not remember?
POZZO: I don't remember having met anyone yesterday. But tomorrow I won't
remember having met anyone today. So don't count on me to enlighten you.

My translation, courtesy of wordreference.com (which is reliable) and my brain (which
is not):
VLADIMIR: Et vous êtes Pozo?
POZZO: Certainement je m’appelle Pozzo
VLADIMIR: De la même manière que hier?
POZZO: Hier?
VLADIMIR: Nous nous avons recontré hier (Silence). Vous ne vous souvenez pas?
POZZO: Je ne me souviens pas d’avoir rencontrer personne hier. Mais demain je ne
me souviendrai personne aujourd’hui. Donc, ne m’attendez pas à vous en rappeler.

Beckett's original text:
VLADIMIR: Et vous, vous êtes Pozo?
POZZO: Certainement, je suis Pozo.
VLADIMIR: Les mêmes qu’hier?
POZZO: Qu’hier?
VLADIMIR: On s’est vus hier (Silence) Vous ne vous rappelez pas?
POZZO: Je ne me rappelle avoir rencontré personne hier. Mais demain je ne me
rappellerai avoir rencontré personne aujourd’hui. Ne comptez donc pas sur moi pour
renseigner.

I don't fully understand the phrase "On s’est vus hier" for "We met
yesterday" (but then again, if I made a list of everything in life I don't understand, I
would be typing for some time).

I find it interesting that Beckett wrote "Les mêmes qu'hier?" To what plural do you think he is referring? Or is it just an idiomatic thing in French to say that about one person?
My understanding of "On s'est vus hier" is that it's literally "We saw each other yesterday". He's using the general form "on" for "we", and the reflexive (each other) can be seen in the "s'"; it takes être in the past because it's a reflexive verb, and the plural s is added to "vu" because the object (s') comes before the conjugated verb (est). Not sure if this is entirely right, but it's my attempt at an explanation!

Yep, that is an odd one, though it being Beckett, everything bears some potential for oddity. Unless it is idiomatic, it does seem to cry out for quelque chose entre "Les mêmes..." et "... qu'hier":, if only through implied reference to something previously discussed. I googled the phrase, which mostly just sent me back to this log, so it does not seem to be a common stand-alone phrase absent some prior thing being referenced.

Vielen Dank, Jinx - I had forgotten entirely about the use of être in reflexive situations. This makes sense now.

quelque chose
Vendre la méche"
I am agent (Gary Numan)
(Non, désolé Gary, ce n'est pas la même chose en français. Pas de tout.)

I am still plugging away, slowly but methodically at German. The linked clip seems to
best (well, at least obliquely, which oddly is often best) sum up my German studies at
present:
Telekon (Gary Numan)
"Where is my outline I start to fade
No concentration means 'fail' these days
I leave the table saying 'I am real'
I feel the pressure like your eyes on me
Don't mention that name and books on love
I can't be sure, I can't be sure
You end on reel one
You end on reel one
You quote from 'anxious' and things we do
I need protection from the likes of you
Do you begin to see that I don't know
I live on memories that are hard to find
Send me a card and write 'I think of you'
I'll say you lied, I'll say you're lying
You are, you are..."
(though at this point, I'm automatically thinking "Sie sind, Sie sind" so
perhaps progress is being made after all....
